    After the advent of Islam, the art of plastering has been used in buildings, but due to the sanctity of sculpture, this art was manifested in the form of relief motifs of flowers and plants, as well as various Islamic designs and khatai bands, especially in the form of different and varied lines. . In the plaster works left from the 3rd century of Hijri, there are brilliant examples in Faryomad Sabzevar Mosque called Mino Tekari. Indeed, the unique creativity of the artists of that time has been remembered for us.

  • All about the history of traditional plastering

    Traditional stucco is a rigid exterior finish best suited for one and three coat applications. It’s made from cement, lime, sand, and water. The finished textures range from rough to smooth finishes, using different sizes and amounts of sand to achieve the desired result.

  • Something about the history of modern plastering

    Modern stucco is used as an exterior cement plaster wall covering. It is usually a mix of sand, Portland cement, lime and water, but may also consist of a proprietary mix of additives including fibers and synthetic acrylics that add strength and flexibility. Modern synthetic stucco can be applied as one base layer and a finish layer, which is thinner and faster to apply, compared to the traditional application of three-coat stucco. Imitation stone stucco can also be produced using the traditional application, but with marble dust being added to the mixture.
